Best TOEFL Test Prep Tutoring in Doha
Manhattan Review in Doha is an American test prep company staffed by career educators who are dedicated to helping international students achieve their academic and professional goals. We offer a variety of effective and convenient services for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), including private TOEFL tutoring, on-site and online TOEFL prep courses, and TOEFL practice tests. Our company has been producing successful results for all of the major standardized university admissions tests in major cities around the world since 1999. As educators, we understand as well as anyone that university students have extremely busy schedules. Our TOEFL private tutoring uses customized instruction that takes full advantage of individual student characteristics to teach our students how to pass the TOEFL in the smallest possible amount of time, so that they may devote more effort to their primary areas of interest.
Manhattan Review's private TOEFL tutoring begins with an evaluation of the TOEFL standards at our students' preferred institutions. With TOEFL requirements set by individual schools and programs, no universal TOEFL standard exists. Many of the most highly selective schools require a minimum total score of about 100, but there are numerous exceptions to this practice. For instance, the general undergraduate TOEFL benchmark at Carnegie Mellon University is 102, but applicants to some of the engineering programs at this same institution can get by with an 84. Furthermore, several high-quality universities have more modest general TOEFL requirements, such as UCLA (83 for undergraduates and 87 for graduate students), UC Berkeley (80 undergraduate and 90 graduate), and the Florida Institute of Technology (79 for both undergraduates and graduates). There are also plenty of options for students with TOEFL scores under 70, including Arizona State University (minimum of 61), Bowling Green State University (61), Cleveland State University (65), and East Tennessee State University (61). The one-on-one TOEFL tutoring offered by Manhattan Review can be tailored to meet any of these TOEFL requirements.
Manhattan Review's personalized and custom-designed TOEFL tutoring has helped our students get accepted to world-class universities such as Oxford, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Georgetown, the University of Virginia, the University of Chicago, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Our students have used the degrees that they've earned at these fine institutions to pursue careers in the private sector, at Fortune 500 companies and Doha firms such as Lockheed Martin, American Airlines Group, Honeywell International, Al Jazeera Media Network, Qatar Petroleum, and GSSG Holding. Our students have also succeeded in public-sector careers such as teaching, research, civil service, and philanthropy. Meet a Doha TOEFL Tutor: Roberta W.
Roberta W. is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Pennsylvania, with a bachelor's degree in linguistics and a master's degree in education policy. Originally from Geneva, Switzerland, Roberta has been a TOEFL tutor since 2009. She has lived in Doha since 2014, where in addition to teaching TOEFL prep she is an English language instructor for several international and professional organizations.
Roberta's TOEFL tutoring uses approaches developed through careful study of pedagogical research and experience with the implementation of differentiated instructional techniques. "Published research is a great source of practical knowledge, but this knowledge has to be accommodated to specific learning situations, which are almost infinite in their variety," she says. "I do my best to give every TOEFL student the prep tutoring that works for him or her."
